The Story of 32 Year-Old Andre Ingram’s Call Up to the L.A. Lakers
At 32 most players have typically given up on their dreams of playing in the NBA, or any professional level for that matter if it hasn’t happened by that stage in their life. But not Andre Ingram.
After playing in the NBA’s Developmental League for over a decade and working a second job as a Math tutor to support his family during that time, Ingram finally realizes his dream of someday playing in the NBA as Magic Johnson calls him up to the L.A. Lakers to suit up for the last two games of the season.
Ingram is the oldest player in NBA G-League history to be called up the NBA. In his first game as an L.A. Laker, Ingram hit his first shot attempt and posted 19 points against the Houston Rockets.
