Denver, CO: Colorado Premier Basketball Club (Premier), a Nationally Sponsored Nike youth basketball organization, has announced that Wildcats Sports Club and Western Colorado Supreme Court Basketball Club have joined the Premier brand and will begin operating as Western Slope Premier (WS Premier) beginning in January 2016. This marks the second major event in the last two months for Premier. In October, they announced their National Nike Sponsorship and invitation to join the 32 team Nike Elite Youth Basketball League made up of the top 32 youth basketball organizations in the country.

Keith Van Horn, former NBA standout and Executive Director of Colorado Premier Basketball Club said, “I am so excited to have the Wildcats Sports Club and Western Colorado Supreme Court Basketball Club join the Premier family. Both organizations share a common basketball philosophy, are committed to affordable youth programs and seek to develop players both on and off the court. We hope to give the players on the Western Slope of Colorado opportunities they have not previously had through camps, skill development and competitive club teams, I am excited to work in the Grand Valley and get to know the players and families in the area.”

In 2016 WS Premier will operate girls teams in the U10-U17 age groups and summer camps for both boys and girls. Beginning in 2017, WS Premier will incorporate boy’s teams along with the other Premier programs currently offered in the Front Range area. In addition to operating these WS Premier basketball programs, the Grand Valley will serve as a regional hub for Premier players from Denver, Utah and Wyoming who participate on their Nike National Elite Youth Basketball League (Nike EYBL) teams.

Michael Wells, Western Colorado Supreme Court Basketball Director said, “This is probably the biggest thing to happen to youth basketball on the Western Slope in a long time. This merger has essentially opened up a whole new world of opportunities for the youth basketball players in the Valley. We now have access to NBA level coaches, Nike sponsorship benefits, and due to Premier’s regional reach into Utah, it allows Grand Junction to be a hub for Premier practices and scrimmages which will include some of the top middle and high school players in the country. I am excited to see how this partnership improves the quality of youth basketball in our area.”
